  1. Don't quote me, but I believe it's "Mengei." Whatever ... I really like this. I'll never make it as a critic, because I often can't put my finger on why I like a piece. Regardless, I like this.

  2. THANKS, MC. I CAN'T SPELL WORTH A DAMN, BUT I DID LOOK THE NAME UP! AND, SO I DON'T SEE WORTH A DAMN EITHER. THANKS FOR THE INPUT. I AM ALSO GLAD THAT YOU LIKE MY PICTURE. IN MANY WAYS THE UN-MANIPULATED IMAGE WAS QUITE BEAUTIFUL - MOSTLY IN TANS AND BROWNS. BUT MY THING IS MANIPULATION AND I BELIEVE THAT I ADDED A STRANGNESS TO THE IMAGE THAT IS VERY MOVING IN A FEARFUL, APREHENSIVE WAY. WORDS DON'T EXPRESS THESE THINGS, BUT CRITICS DO HAVE THEIR METAPHORICAL, POETIC MEANS OF CONVEYING WHAT THEY FEEL ABOUT OUR WORK. L.N.
